SUN VALLEY, Idaho (KTVB) -- A lightning strike started a grass and brush fire Tuesday afternoon near the Sun Valley Golf Course. The fire has grown to seven acres of private land, while also threatening Bureau of Land Management land. No structures are threatened at this time and the rain is helping to dampen the flames. It was anticipated that the fire would be contained by 8 p.m. Tuesday night, and controlled by 8 p.m. today.

Blaine County Sheriff released that Trail Creek Road between the Sun Valley Inn and Boundary Campground is closed and it is advised to avoid the area at this time as all available fire and law enforcement units are on the scene. Crews from Sun Valley Fire Department, Bureau of Land Management, and Forest Service are on the scene.
