Left-Handed People Earn Less Money Than Right-Handed People
Being left-handed, I've come to terms that the world is made for right-handed people. Everything from scissors to toilet paper dispensers are made for the right. But I didn't realize being left-handed meant I would wind up poor.
An economist named Joshua Goodman at Harvard University just released the results of a study of more than 47,000 people, and found lefties earn less money than righties. A left-handed person makes about 12% less over the course of their lifetime than a right-handed person.
What's worse, it that there doesn't seem to be a silver lining. Goodman says lefties probably earn less because their brains are slightly WORSE than righties' brains. "Left-handed individuals show consistently lower cognitive skills and higher rates of mental and behavioral disabilities."
