If you're into going green, love independent films, want to see some really cool art and maybe find a better paycheck, The College of Southern Idaho has some events coming up you'll want to check out.

  • The CSI Sustainability Fair is today (Friday) from 2 to 4 in the Student Union. Lots of displays and information about saving energy and recycling materials, raffle prizes, a solar oven competition, music, and fun stuff. All free of charge.
  • Independent Filmmaker Richard Dutcher will visit the CSI Film Club at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday). Dutcher achieved fame with his hit ‘God’s Army’ in 2000 and has released five other independent films from his distribution company. This event is free and open to the public – it’s at 7 p.m. in the CSI Fine Arts Recital Hall.
  • The big Student Art Show is on display at the Herrett Center’s King Gallery. More than 100 artworks on display – the best from CSI Art students this year. Many of the artworks are for sale in case you’re looking to buy. Admission is always free of charge.
  • The annual CSI Career Fair is next Wednesday the 25th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the CSI Gym. We’ll have several dozen businesses, industries, military and college recruiters, and job counselors. Plus…some businesses will be accepting job applications right at the fair. It’s free and open to the public.
