(KLIX)-Fire crews continue to fight a wild fire just south of Castleford which has now burned an estimated 80,000 acres of Bureau of Land Management land. The Kinyon Road fire is now one of the largest fires burning in the United States according to fire officials. Sunday afternoon around 1pm a thunder cell passed over the fire and caused unexpected behavior, officials now have no estimated containment or control time. Fire fighters had hoped to get it under control by Sunday afternoon. Winds had been working against their efforts. One injury was reported due to heat related illness. Numerous resources have been battling the fire and the number of personnel has increased from 150 to 204. A Type II Team are expected to take over fire management today. They have experience working with large fires across the nation. After the Type II Team arrives the amount of people working on the blaze will go up to an estimated 275. About a dozen aircraft are being used including more than 30 ground vehicles. Temporary flight restrictions are in place around the fire area. They are set to expand this morning and will include military operations.  The Kinyon Road Fire has burned BLM, Idaho Department of Lands, and private property in Twin Falls and Owyhee counties. The blaze is believed to be caused by lightening.
