KETCHUM, Idaho (KTVB) -- The city of Ketchum has banned sales and distribution of plastic single-use water bottles on city property and at city events. They say it's an effort to set an example as an ecologically-sensitive community. Research shows that the price of bottled water is up to 10,000 times the cost of tap water.

Cities across the country such as San Francisco and Concord have also banned bottled water. Ketchum plans to buy hydration stations -- making it easier for people to fill their own water bottles at public events and city meetings.
