Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw met and became friends on the road ten years ago, and the two country superstars promise they’ll be having as much fun as fans when they reunite to kick off the Brothers of the Sun Tour next summer. Tickets for seven of the 19 dates go on sale Dec. 3 through Ticketmaster.

The stadium tour begins on June 2 in Tampa, Fla. and finishes on August 25 in Foxboro, Mass. Jake Owen and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals will open the show before McGraw and Chesney take over. “Our friendship was forged on the road, so it’s going to be a blast heading out with Kenny again,” McGraw said in a press release.

“Tim and I have been great friends since we first toured together, and I can’t wait to get back on the road with him,” Chesney added. “He’s one of my closest friends in music and in life, and I know this tour is going to be something special.”

The 19 dates — all Saturdays and Sundays — represent a significantly lighter work load for both men. Chesney and McGraw are rumored to be working together in other ways, however. Last week, industry publication Country Aircheck reported that the two would be recording a duet for a future album.
