By now we think it's safe to say that Kelly Clarkson holds reign as the queen of covers.

Each night on her tour, she takes a fan request of a cover that they would like to hear her perform. We've heard her cover anything from Rihanna's racy single, to Sam Smith's heartfelt "Stay With Me" and a throwback to 'NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye." This week during a show in Toronto we were all graced with her cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space."

Clarkson took the smash hit and turned it into her own soulful rendition. The original American Idol champion effortlessly belted out the revenge-inspired lyrics and created something truly beautiful. The smooth transitions and perfect pitches gave the tune an R&B vibe an entire crowd can sing and sway along with.

Glitzed in sparkle and fabulous, Clarkson slowed the tune way down and added a whole new range of notes in a way only the Texas native can. If imitation really is the greatest form of flattery, Clarkson's graceful cover really must show her admiration for the young Swift.

Swift herself caught wind of the magic that is Clarkson singing her tune, and seemed to be just as excited as the rest of us, tweeting, "Kelly Clarkson covered Blank Space and YES."

Clarkson is currently on tour promoting her latest album, Piece by Piece. The tour of the same name will run through the beginning of September, including a Sept. 5 show in Music City.
