Although Kelly Clarkson has completed plenty of milestones in her career since her winning days of 'American Idol' (including snagging a Grammy), there's one thing she hasn't done: a Christmas album.

Now, she'll be able to cross that off her list, with the official announcement of 'Wrapped in Red.'

The songstress excitedly tweeted the album cover, which shows Clarkson face front and center. Her skin looks completely flawless, and she's wearing bright red lipstick, a red jacket, and a cozy red scarf, with her hair swept in an elegant up-do -- very holiday season.

The pop-country star also announced the release date of the album, saying, "I have been dying to make this album since I was a kid! #WrappedInRed comes out Oct. 29th."

Country music fans have known that Clarkson would release a Christmas album for a while, as Ronnie Dunn spilled the beans last spring, simply because he was so excited to duet with her. Now that there's an official release date, album cover and announcement by the 'Tie It Up' hitmaker herself, fans can eagerly await this festive record.

'Wrapped in Red' will come just in time for twinkly lights, cooler weather and crackling fires. With Clarkson's strong vocals and a duet with the legendary Dunn, what more could a country music fan want for Christmas? Hopefully it will be wrapped in red (or green) and under many, many trees this year.
