This is Jinger and Lebron Burton from Filer, Idaho. I think many of you know this married duo well. The Burton's were awarded the Impact Award in honor of all their volunteer work with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Utah ̶ Southern Idaho Chapter.

The Burtons represented the Utah – Southern Idaho Chapter at the national MS Society Public Policy Conference this year in Washington, DC. Following the conference, they made presentations to the chapter board of trustees and promoted MS activism at the Boise and Twin Falls Walk MS events. They have donated their time to ensure successful walk fundraisers and this year raised more than $3,000 for the MS movement and its research focus.

Here's what Jinger Burton had to say about the award:

Volunteering has in many ways given me back a sense of control over what is happening to me,” said Jinger Burton, who has MS. “I don’t feel invisible anymore. I don’t have to fight this alone. Volunteering was the first step for me to move beyond the shock and fear of the diagnosis to my new normal. Right now I have the energy to fight and make a difference. Tomorrow that may not be the case.

Congratulations to them! A well-deserved award!
