BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho State Police say a 17-year-old boy from Jerome has been hospitalized after driving the wrong way on Interstate 84 near Jerome and running head-on into a semitrailer. Police say the crash occurred about 4 a.m. Saturday when the boy's Chevrolet Traverse struck a 2007 Volvo semitrailer that was pulling two trailers. Police say the boy's vehicle was traveling east in the westbound lanes and struck the semi head-on and then hit the first trailer as the semitrailer driver tried to swerve out of the way. The driver of the semitrailer wasn't injured. Police say Interstate 84 was blocked for about four hours.
