Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV) - The Jerome County Sheriffs Office has arrested a man accused of assaulting a deputy. It’s alleged that at around 8 p.m. Tuesday night a Jerome deputy was assaulted by Justin Hickman 24, of Jerome. The deputy arrived at Hickman's house to serve legal papers. Soon after at the scene, it was determined that Hickman had a misdemeanor warrant out for his arrest.

The deputy then tried to arrest Hickman but was punched three times in the head. Hickman was then able to escape by foot. At around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday authorities located the suspect and he is now in custody.
