Jennifer Nettles lent The Voice stage her talents Tuesday night (May 24), sharing the spotlight with contestant Alisan Porter, who starred in the 1991 film Curly Sue.

The newly formed duo joined forces for a rendition of Nettles' current single, "Unlove You." Clad in head-to-toe black, their performance was perfectly serene and heartfelt. They remained stationary while they sang, letting the deep song speak for itself.

Their voices meshed together perfectly, and Nettles showcased her amazing ability to control her voice. Their harmonies added new depth to the song and made the performance stand out during The Voice finale broadcast.

Porter was later crowned the winner of the competition.

"Unlove You" is the debut track from Nettles' latest release, Playing With Fire. The project also acts as her second solo album, as she is also a member of country duet Sugarland, who last released music as a group in 2010.

Playing With Fire is a different speed for Nettles. It is different from her previous projects, reflecting of her present day life as a performer and mother as well as blending traditional country sounds with modern day melodies.

“I am so proud of this record, I can’t wait to share it with my fans and hear their reactions. It is a ton of sass and emotion and fun," she says. "The way I approached this whole project was different because I’m a different person than I was several years ago, I have different stories to tell; I have different experiences now.”

Nettles is on the road promoting her new album. She will be spending her Memorial Day weekend in Daytona, Fla., performing at the Daytona Speedway. Her run of shows will wrap in Temecula, Cali. on June 12.
