Jason Aldean and Wrangler denim are decidedly American success stories, built on the back of hard work. That's why Aldean factors into the new Wrangler Retro commercial.

The spot encapsulates Aldean's rocket ride to the massive success he currently enjoys in his career in the space of 30 seconds, suggesting to the viewer that he is living proof of the pursuit of the American dream.

The voiceover narrator makes simple declarations like, "Long live sold-out arenas" and "Long live making a name for yourself and seeing it in lights" and "Long live six-string storytellers." All those elements accurately describe Aldean; the subtext is that the working class, blue-collar average American can relate to the country star since he's been there, done that.

It paints the singer as a modern, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-your-hands-dirty success story, and the culmination of the idea that if you work hard, you will be rewarded. Through it all, he still wears his same Wrangler denim.

Aldean's hit song 'Crazy Town' is used to perfect effect in the commercial, as well. Female Aldean fans will certainly like this clip, since there are plenty of shots of his derriere in Wranglers. It sort of has to be said.
