Jake Owen and the Zac Brown Band won't be wearing mouth-guards and cleats for Super Bowl 48, but they will be tackling the stage (well, rocking the boat, actually,) during separate performances.

Their performances for the world-class Bud Light Hotel concert will take place on a cruise ship docked at Pier 88 in Manhattan on the Hudson River.

ZBB’s set is scheduled for February 1 alongside the Foo Fighters. It makes complete sense, as the band worked with Foo Fighter's frontman Dave Grohl on their just-released EP 'The Grohl Sessions: Vol. 1.'

Owen (along with his new hairstyle?) will grab the mic on Super Bowl Sunday, February 2, headlining a pre-game concert with Fall Out Boy. The Roots and Imagine Dragons will also perform during the four-day party.

By the time the Superbowl XLVIII rolls begins at Met Life Stadium, fans will certainly have received an earful of top-notch country music. Two years ago, the Super Bowl's country musical guests included Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, who performed 'America the Beautiful' while holding hands, and Carrie Underwood, who took the stage with rocker Steven Tyler. In 2013 Rascal Flatts joined Journey to tape a 'CMT Crossroads episode.

This year sounds like it's shaping up to be just as fantastic -- a touchdown, if you will. Football, Bud Light, and country music -- is there anything better?
