Jake Owen honored the memory of two late singers, Troy Gentry and Don Williams, with a respectable rendition of Williams' hit, "Good Ole Boys Like Me," over the weekend.

Both Williams and Gentry died on Friday, September 8.

Owen took to Facebook after learning the news of the heartbreaking deaths. The singer played many shows with Montgomery Gentry, calling Gentry a "great guy" and a "good friend of all of ours in the country music world." Owen further touted Williams as a hero in country music, saying: "I felt the need to pay tribute to two good ole boys like us all."

The singer would surely do Williams proud with his interpretation of the song, using nothing but a simple acoustic guitar and his soothing voice to cover the song, singing: "I can still hear the soft Southern winds in the live oak trees / And those Williams boys they still mean a lot to me / Hank and Tennessee / I guess we're all gonna be what we're gonna be / So what do you do with good ole boys like me."

"God Bless Don Williams, Troy Gentry and country music," Owen writes alongside the video.

"Good Ole Boys Like Me" was a hit for Williams after its 1980 release, landing him in the No. 2 spot on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. Owen also paid an honorable tribute to Glen Campbell after his sad passing with an acoustic cover of “Wichita Lineman.”
