It’s Game Day For The Boise State Broncos

It’s game day for the Boise state broncos as they battle against the Arizona state sun devils in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas.

Boise State played in the MAACO Bowl just 12 months ago, riding to a 26-3 win over Utah. Arizona State returns to the postseason for the first time since a 2007 Holiday Bowl loss. Underlying all this of course is some tension and some drama. Devils coach Dennis Erickson was fired Nov. 28 after his team collapsed with four consecutive losses following a 6-2 start, though the school will let him coach this game.

There was also some behind the scenes drama for the broncos  this season as well including the firing of long time athletic director gene Blyemeir. There was also a big announcement a few weeks ago that the broncos would be leaving the mountain west conference. commissioner Craig Thompson told Idaho’s news channel 7 that he understood the move.
