Devil’s Third E3 2014 Trailer: Itagaki’s Wii U-Exclusive Game

The next game from Tomonobu Itagaki, director of the Ninja Gaiden series, will be Devil’s Third, a Wii U exclusive.

The game will be heavily action-focused, with competitive multiplayer featuring a mix of melee combat, first-person shooting and cover-shooting. It will also feature character customization and level editing.

Devil’s Third has been in development for years under Valhalla Games, but THQ’s collapse put the game’s future in jeopardy. With Nintendo and Itagaki now behind the project, it should have a much smoother development process. Itagaki told IGN that Nintendo “really understood (his) vision, so I felt I really had to work with them."

No release date has been announced, but a 2015 release seems likely.
