UPDATE, 4:10 p.m. – A Paul man was injured in a one-vehicle accident this afternoon on State Highway 24 near mile post 33.

Raymundo Casiano. 55, was driving a 2000 Freightliner westbound on the highway when he failed to negotiate a slight curve in the road and drove off its right side, according to ISP. He over-corrected, then steered to the right. The truck turned onto the driver's side and slid down the road, blocking the highway.

Casiano was transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.  According to ISP, it is unknown at this time whether he was wearing a seat belt.

All travel lanes are now open. ISP is continuing to investigate the incident.

 

SHOSHONE, Idaho (KLIX) – The Idaho State Police is asking drivers to avoid the area near mile post 33 on State Highway 24 in Lincoln County or expect significant delays as officer investigate a crash that has occurred in the vicinity of 3150 East.

As of a little after 2 p.m., the road is blocked due to the investigation.
