This morning I asked whether or not you thought unauthorized hunting on private property was an issue in the Magic Valley.  To quote one of my callers:  "Brad, You opened up a can of worms with your question today."   I could tell that it touched a nerve and I understand why. I know a lot of you are hunters. You take pride in your sport. You play by the rules and you respect the laws of man and nature. You get defensive and frustrated when someone points out a minority of lawbreakers who soil your good name.

I don't feel like I need to defend the question. It's fair. If everyone hunted legally, then there wouldn't be stories of dead livestock or bullet holes in houses or guys using parachutes to spot game from the sky. While those incidents are rare, they do happen.

I really appreciated the calls that came in today. I talked to a couple of you who've had to deal with illegal hunters. And I really appreciate all of you hunters who called the show to defend your reputation. Your points are well taken.  There are hunters and there are poachers. The differences between the two are just as easy to spot as a shopper and a thief:  One is honorable - They other?  Well, I think you know what we think of the other.
