Have you ever wondered about the smallest town in Idaho? Here’s what we found.

The town seems to be shrinking. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that there were about 1.5 males for every female.

No two sources completely agree but most everything we found points to Warm River, Idaho being the smallest town in Idaho. During the 2010 census, the population was reported as three people, living in two households. It's safe to assume that means at least two people are living in one dwelling, with a second (and lonely) soul living in the other.

What’s also interesting is that in the 2000 census, there were 10 people and 3 families living in Warm River.  So, the town seems to be shrinking.  Maybe it has something to do with the fact that there were about 1.5 males for every female.  Those wouldn’t be the best odds for dating when you consider that at least three of the women in town were presumably married.  If you were one of the three single guys in Warm River, you’re competing for the affections of the only single female in town.  That would be enough for any man to pack their bags and leave town.

When you consider the 10-year exodus, Warm River doesn’t seem to be the ideal spot to live but if you like fly fishing, it might just be the place to visit.

Please understand that our little quest to find the smallest city in Idaho is by no means scientific or conclusive. If you have more recent data suggesting that the title of Smallest Town in Idaho belongs to another, be sure to let us know.
