ELMORE COUNTY, Idaho (KTVB) -- A pair of Iowa men are facing felony charges after deputies found 31 pounds of marijuana inside their car during a traffic stop.

Kenneth Playle and Travis Wharton of Altoona, Iowa were pulled over on Interstate 84 Friday by an Elmore County Sheriff's deputy. When the deputy approached the car, the men refused to roll down their windows, according to the sheriff's office. The deputy requested backup, and the men were arrested for obstructing and delaying an officer. After the arrests, a K-9 drug dog was brought in and alerted on the car.

Deputies searched the vehicle, and found more than 31 pounds of marijuana in the back seat. The drugs have a street value of $155,000, deputies say. Both men were booked into the Elmore County Jail and charged with felony drug trafficking in marijuana. Playle and Wharton are scheduled to appear in court Monday. If convicted of the trafficking charge, the suspects will face a mandatory minimum of five years in prison.
