If you listen to the morning show, you might have heard me telling you that if you own an iPhone, you should hold off updating to iOS 6.1.1 because you might experience battery issues.

Since I updated, I can say my battery life had been reduced by a solid 40%, if not more.  I used to be able to almost go a day on a full charge.  Now I can only get to about 3 or 4pm before I need to juice it up.

The problem seems to be connected to devices that have an email account that's connected to exchange server, using the calendar services.  Apparently, the calendar bug "could result in increased network activity and reduce battery life."

I'm happy to report that since upgrading to iOS 6.1.2 my battery life seems to be better.  I won't know for sure until I start out with a full day of use tomorrow.

I'll report back and let you know how it goes.

In the meantime.  If you experienced reduced battery life after updating to 6.1.1 consider downloading the update.  Your battery life can't get any worse... or can it?
