BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Health inspectors say they found three critical violations at the Boise Co-op's main location.

The Idaho Statesman reports that the deli and produce department violations found during a July 24 visit to the Co-op were corrected while the inspector was still on site. The violations come several weeks after a salmonella outbreak was linked to the Co-op's deli.

The inspector says meat items in the deli's coolers were out of date or undated, the deli bar was kept at improper temperatures and employees were using unapproved sanitizers in the produce department.

The report says employees threw away the meat items, had a technician examine the bar and changed sanitizers during the inspection. The Co-op's general manager says he is working to make sure the mistakes don't happen again.
