Injury Crash on State Highway 48 near Rigby

On March 15, 2013, at approximately 5:31 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on State Highway 48, milepost 20, near Rigby, Idaho.

Jacob H. Schweppe, 34, of Ririe, Idaho, was driving westbound approaching the five mile curve when his vehicle left the road off the right shoulder. Schweppe then over-corrected and re-entered the highway, crossing the center line. Schweppe over-corrected and his vehicle rolled, coming to a stop on its top in the eastbound lanes.

Schweppe was transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Schweppe was wearing his seatbelt.
