Injury Crash in Gooding County

On Sunday, September 22, 2013 at approximately 4:07 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash at the intersection of 2200 E / 3300 S in Gooding county.

Vanessa Taylor, 22, of Wendell, was westbound on 3300 S in a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Douglas Giltner, 60, of Jerome, was southbound on 2200 E in a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. Taylor failed to yield at a stop sign, and struck Giltner's vehicle on the driver's side. Both vehicles went off the roadway. Giltner's vehicle overturned, landing on its roof.

Taylor was transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley by ground ambulance. Giltner was transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley by air ambulance. Giltner was wearing his seatbelt, but Taylor was not. There was no road blockage. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
