If You Think This Man was Cruel When He Shot This Moose, You’d be Wrong

Please be advised that this content may not be suitable for all viewers.

According to this Youtube post, a 51-year-old man and his son were out snowmobiling when they came upon a moose.  Despite the man’s attempts to ward off the animal by clapping and yelling, the 1,000 pound bull charges – not once but twice.  During the second attack, the man takes the moose down.

Reaction to this video varies.  Many of you who have experience in the outdoors seem to understand that when an animal like this decides to charge, it can not only hurt you, it can easily kill you in seconds.

Others seem to think the whole scenario could have been avoided if the man had tried to go around.

This might make some of you angry but here is one thing that I’d like you to consider.  When it comes a choice between the life of a human being and the life an animal, the human should win every time.  It shouldn’t be questioned.  And in a situation like this, you cannot simply “wait and see” if the animal just might back down.

I wouldn’t stake my life on it and I certainly wouldn’t gamble with the lives of my children.

I do not agree with the senseless killing of an animal.  But in this case, it was unavoidable.  No question about it.  What do you think? I welcome your comments.
