If You Hit a Kitten, Would You Stop To Try and Find It’s Owner? [Poll]

This morning on the way to work I saw an animal dart across the road and as I got closer I saw another animal sitting in the middle of the road. I swerved to go around it, but the animal must have moved in the wrong direction because I hit it.

My heart sank as I wondered if it was a kitten that I had just hit. I pulled over to the side of the road and got out of my car to see if I could tell what kind of animal it was.  At that point I wasn't sure if it was a kitten or a squirrel but I didn't see a tag on the animal so I got back in my car and continued driving to work.

I can't help but wonder if it was a kitten and if it was, who did it belong to. I would feel terrible if I hit someones pet. I told Brad Weiser about my accident and he said, "It's just a cat, I wouldn't worry about it".
