BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho lawmakers who spent last summer dissecting some of the state's most contentious issues have yet to submit legislation to the Idaho Legislature, but key leaders remain hopeful proposals will be finalized before the end of the session.

Four legislative interim committees are expected to meet at least once more before submitting recommendations on public defense, school broadband, urban renewal and state contracts.

Last year, a landmark court decision pushed lawmakers to create two panels to review Idaho's selection process for most expensive contracts and study if a statewide system is needed to provide public school broadband.
