Idahoans Sentenced On Drug Charges

(AP)  A pair of methamphetamine dealers from southwestern Idaho were sentenced to long stints in federal prison, with three additional members of their drug ring due to get their punishments later this year. Daniel Pena of Caldwell was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court to 13 years in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine – and

discharge of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Monica Martinez of Wilder was sentenced to five years in prison followed by five years of supervised release. Shane Kenneth Brizendine of Wilder; Armando Jason Saltzer of Nampa; and Mario Bautista, a Mexican national, are due to be sentenced June 25. U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson called methamphetamine trafficking
