IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A 41-year-old Ammon woman has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge in the death of her 21-month-old daughter, who was left in a car for more than three hours. Rebecca A. Randall pleaded guilty Thursday to injury to a child for the June 18 death of Elizabeth Randall. Magistrate Judge Keith Walker gave Randall a 30-day suspended jail sentence and placed her on unsupervised probation for a year. Preliminary autopsy results indicate the girl died of hyperthermia. Temperatures were in the high 80s and low 90s that day.
