POST FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A Washington state woman that police in northern Idaho say street raced while intoxicated with two children in her car has been charged with driving under the influence.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office tells KREM-TV that Spokane valley resident Shariah L. Whitney was charged Monday. Police arrested Whitney on Sunday after officers say another vehicle she was street racing in Post Falls, Idaho, struck a concrete island and then a parked vehicle.

Police say Whitney had a blood alcohol content of more than .20, and also had marijuana with her. Authorities also say Whitney had two children, ages 5 and 15, with her in the car at the time.
