NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — A southwest Idaho woman who police say dragged a Nampa officer 40 yards after the officer attempted to prevent her from driving drunk has been taken into custody.

The Idaho Statesman reports that 33-year-old Andrea L. Harris faces charges of felony DUI, aggravated battery, and obstruct and delay. Police say that Harris was kicked out of the Idaho Center Thursday and attempted to drive away.

An officer on foot told Harris to turn off her vehicle but she refused. The officer tried to get Harris out of the car but she drove off with the officer hanging from the vehicle. The officer was treated and released at a hospital. Police say another officer stopped Harris and she tested at more than twice the legal limit for breath-alcohol content.
