Idaho Trailer Park Facing Legal Troubles Might Close

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — The owner of a northern Idaho mobile home park facing a legal battle over the park's water system might close it. The Lewiston Tribune reports that lawyers for Syringa Mobile Home Park owner Magar E. Magar say an increasing list of repairs means the park isn't profitable. But attorneys for residents say the potential closure is in retaliation for a lawsuit residents brought concerning the unsafe water system.

At a hearing on Wednesday, 2nd District Judge John R. Stegner told Magar's attorney that Magar needs to give residents a six-month notice if he plans to close the park. Stegner says Magar's decision looks like retaliation, and that if the park does close Magar won't get a free pass to later reopen it.
