BOISE, Idaho (KTVB)- Idaho is home to the world's largest Greek yogurt plant, and it has been chosen to participate in the United States Department of Agriculture Greek Yogurt Pilot Program.

Back in May 2013, Idaho Senator, Mike Crapo toured the Chobani factory in Twin Falls in hopes of making sure Greek yogurt was available on all school lunches across the state. The USDA announced that four states will be participating in the program: Idaho, New York, Tennessee and Arizona.

If the program is found to be successful, it could become a permanent part of the foods that USDA offers for schools nationwide.  USDA hopes the program will be in place for the 2013-2014 fall school year.
