NAMPA, Idaho (KTVB) --  A child has died and several more are injured after a dump truck crashed into a school bus near Deer Flat and Happy Valley roads south of Nampa.

The crash was reported just before 8 a.m.

Sergeant Tim Randall with the Nampa Police Department says the crash killed one child, and caused multiple injuries to other students.

We're told two injured children were taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, and two more were taken to Saint Alphonsus in Nampa.

Officials at the Kuna School District have confirmed that the bus was headed to Crimson Point Elementary.

Jenny Anderson, communications coordinator for the Kuna School District, said the bus involved was bus number 11.
