Idaho Soldier Laid to Rest

MERIDIAN — Army Specialist Tom Murach was laid to rest at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery on Monday afternoon. His memorial and burial was open to the public. The 22-year-old soldier from Meridian was killed alongside four other soldiers on May 4, 2013 in Afghanistan.

The group was driving when a roadside bomb exploded. Tom’s brother Nick told KTVB Tom strongly believed in what he was doing in Afghanistan and was proud to be a part of it. His memorial service was held at the Capital Christian Center in Meridian, and followed by the burial at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. KTVB
