CALDWELL, Idaho (KTVB) -- Police are searching for the driver of a semi truck after a 23-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted Wednesday.

The woman told police she was walking on Cleveland Boulevard in Caldwell at about 1:30 a.m. when a man driving a truck asked her if she needed a ride. She said she got into the truck and the driver drove her around Caldwell, making a stop at Walmart before sexually assaulting her. The victim told officers the man eventually let her out at a convenience store in Canyon County. She called someone to pick her up, and the truck drove away.

The woman reported the sexual assault to police, and was taken to a local hospital. The driver is described as a Hispanic man between 5'6 and 5'8, with a thin mustache. He was driving a white tractor trailer semi with a full sleeper attached. Police say the truck is the kind typically used to haul grain or produce. The victim says the driver at one point made a stop somewhere in Canyon County to offload the cargo. Anyone with information is urged to call Caldwell Police at 455-3115.
