COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Coeur d'Alene police have recovered a gun they believe was used to seriously wound an Idaho church pastor this month.

KREM-TV in Spokane reports that detectives traveled to Boise, Idaho, with a warrant to search Kyle Odom's car and found the weapon in the vehicle. Authorities say the 30-year-old drove to the airport after police said he shot Tim Remington eight times on March 6 outside The Altar Church in Coeur d'Alene.

Odom was then able to board a commercial airliner in Boise and travel to Washington, D.C., where he was arrested while allegedly throwing items onto the lawn of the White House. Odom is currently being held in jail in Washington, D.C., pending an extradition hearing. The 55-year-old Remington is recovering at a hospital in Coeur d'Alene.
