BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A person of interest in the shooting death of a Boise motorist is charged with rear-ending another car and shooting at its driver on the same night. Boise Police say 35-year-old Shawn Nathan Fisher is charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault.

Fisher is not charged in the shooting of 28-year-old Matthew Mohler-Kerns, who was found in his stopped car at 8:20 p.m. Monday. Mohler-Kerns was pronounced dead at a Boise hospital at about 9 p.m. Police say the first shooting was reported at about 8 p.m. Monday. While officers were investigating the shooting, another call came in reporting a man standing outside houses threatening to harm residents.

A car matching the description of the one involved in the hit-and-run was parked nearby. A police dog tracked Fisher to a nearby yard.
