Idaho Plane Found with Pot On-Board

VERNAL, Utah (FOX13)— Officers made a large pot bust in Uintah County Tuesday night.

Utah's Fox 13 News Reports Federal agents said they checked a plane that had stopped at the Vernal Airport to refuel. They said they found 180 pounds of marijuana worth nearly $500,000 inside the plane.

Officers said the pilot of the plane was arrested.

KSL news in Salt Lake reports Randall Patrick Watson, 56, of Meridian, Idaho, was arrested just before 11 p.m. and booked into the Uintah County Jail for investigation of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
