LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — A woman who pleaded guilty to throwing her baby from a Lewiston Orchards porch has been ordered to serve time in a prison rehabilitation program.

The Lewiston Tribune reports Serenity Danner was sentenced in court Wednesday. Danner will be placed in a rehabilitation program as part of a plea deal that calls for a minimum of three years in prison. When Danner completes the program, a judge will decide if she's eligible for probation or he'll give her a three- to 10-year prison sentence.

According to court records, Danner was arguing over the phone with the child's father March 28 before she tossed the child over the porch, an 8-foot vertical drop. The child suffered a broken skull and was later taken in to child protective services custody.
