TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A south-central Idaho man has been sentenced to five years in prison for stalking a woman by breaking into her home and stealing photos and her underwear.

The Times-News reports that 25-year-old Edgar Ivan Flores Aguilar of Twin Falls received the sentence Monday in 5th District Court and must serve at least half the sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

Aguilar pleaded guilty in February to a felony count of first-degree stalking and admitted to breaking into the woman's home multiple times to steal family photos and the woman's underwear.

Judge Richard Bevan says Aguilar has a substantial history of being a victim of childhood sexual abuse, and that the sentence will help Aguilar get help. Aguilar apologized to the victim at the sentencing hearing.
