MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (AP) — A 57-year-old Idaho man is charged with injury by discharge of a firearm after a BB he fired during target practice in a Mountain Home apartment struck another man in the neck. Mountain Home Police says Gregory Smith was cited Monday afternoon after police responded to his residence.

Smith told officers that he and his friends were shooting at a target in the apartment with a BB gun when one of the BB's ricocheted hitting a 56-year-old man in the neck. The BB penetrated the man's skin and he was taken to the medical center in Mountain Home. Officials said the injury did not appear to be life threatening.
