CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — A southwest Idaho man who police say attempted to poke out a woman's eyes, bit a 16-year-old boy on the ear and punched a man in the face has been taken into custody.

The Idaho Statesman reports  that 54-year-old Rodney Harrington of Caldwell was arrested Wednesday and faces felony counts of aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

Authorities say the woman and boy were taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is unclear. Harrington is being held at the Canyon County Jail.
