BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho Supreme Court Justice Warren E. Jones was taken to a Salt Lake City hospital Wednesday morning after he became ill during a court session in Twin Falls. The Idaho Statesman reports that Jones was taken to a Twin Falls emergency room, then transferred by air ambulance to Utah. Idaho Supreme Court administrative director Patti Tobias said in a statement that additional information about Jones' condition would be provided when more is learned. No other details were available. Jones was born in Montpelier in 1943 and was appointed to the Idaho Supreme Court in 2007. He won election in 2008 and recently ran unopposed for a second six-year term in the nonpartisan judicial election.
