Idaho Forest Officials Dealing with Small Fires Caused by Campfires

Benito Baeza

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Even though it is spring time, Sawtooth National Forest Officials are warning conditions are drying out quickly.

The Forest Service says abandoned campfires have started small fires on forest lands already this week. All of them were human caused.

Officials are warning people to be careful with fire because hot dry conditions are making lover elevations very dry. Always be sure the campfire is cold to the touch before leaving it.
