Idaho City May Ban Smoking in Bars

GARDEN CITY, Idaho (AP) — Officials in the southwest Idaho city of Garden City have directed staff members to draft an ordinance banning smoking in bars. State law prohibits smoking indoors where people age 21 or younger are allowed. That means in Garden City it's legal to smoke in bars. KBOI-TV reports that the city council asked for the draft ordinance on Tuesday. Nearby Boise already bans smoking in bars.
