IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Officials in southeastern Idaho say a 9-year-old boy died of head injuries after the mattress he was sitting on was blown out of the back of his father's pickup truck.

The Fremont County sheriff's office says Cole Orme was riding on the mattress in the bed of the pickup at about 11 a.m.

Monday when a gust of wind picked it up and tossed it out of the truck, with Cole still on it. The accident happened about eight miles east of Ashton. It is still under investigation.
