Idaho Carjacker Expected to Be Extradited

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — An extradition hearing has been set for an Idaho fugitive who was arrested after a three-day manhunt in southern Montana.

The Billings Gazette reports 36-year-old Rodney Seiber is scheduled to appear in court in Big Horn County on Oct. 2. Seiber, a suspect in a carjacking in Nampa, Idaho, was arrested Wednesday evening in an outbuilding near Garryowen on Montana's Crow Indian Reservation.

He remains jailed without bail on the Idaho warrant. Officials had been looking for Seiber since Sept. 18, when he was suspected of threatening a welding supply company employee in Nampa before taking a company van. He fled into a corn field after the van crashed. Seiber turned up in Montana on Monday, where he fled officers after Hardin motel clerk called in a trespassing complaint.
