TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- The Bureau of Land Management plans on a District Wide proposal to treat noxious weeds on federal land. The BLM is seeking comment on its plan to eliminate noxious weeds and plants using manual, mechanical, chemical and biological methods in addition to using prescribed fires.

The areas included in the plans are the Burley, Jarbidge and Shoshone Field offices. An open house will be held April 11th at 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the Rock Creek Rural Fire Department, 1559 N Main Street in Kimberly.

The public is asked to comment on BLM’s plans for noxious weed treatment. If you wish to submit a written statement you must submit them to Dustin Smith, Fire Ecologist, Burley Field Office, 15 East 200 South, Burley Idaho 83318. You can also email them to:  blm_id_tf_vegea@blm.gov
